What to Expect

All ages are welcome to come to Sunday School. We have classes for 5 main groups: Young children, young elementary, middle elementary, youth, and adults.

Opening Chapel for ages 0 through 11 meets in the sanctuary at 9:15 a.m. We teach/review the 10 commandments, the Apostles' Creed, or the Lord's prayer each week. We sing songs and discuss a Bible story. We gather an offering to support a national or international ministry.

Young children are any ages 0-3 where a child is not potty trained and needs a parent OR ages 3 and 4 who are fully potty-trained and do not need a parent. We meet in the basement and sing songs, do a beginner Bible story and craft, and have a snack together.

Young elementary are students aged 5 through 8. We meet in the basement. 5K children receive a Spark beginner Bible to keep and use at home. 2nd grade children receive their first Student Bible so they can begin using it as their reading skills grow. They participate in Bible stories, activities, music, and snack time together.

Middle elementary are students ages 9 through 11. We meet in the education wing. We are learning more about the 66 books of the Bible and how to use & read our Bibles. We also participate in snack time together.

Youth are anyone 12 and older who are students. We meet in the education wing's youth room. We often watch a movie and look for Biblical themes. We have discussions about current events and teach young people about living as a faithful Christian in our world. A light breakfast/snacks are provided.

Adults are anyone interested in learning and dialoguing with Pastor about the Bible. Topics change throughout the year and there is plenty of time for questions and discussion. We meet in the community room, which has an area for parents to sit with young children so you can still listen and participate in the Bible Study. Don't skip class just because you have young children!
